Since being certified in Purusha Yoga, Lisa Faith Enzer has since been actively pursuing training in classical yoga and will receiver her 500 hour certification in 2007. Her first exposure to yoga was with Loren Fishman in 1977 and she continued informal explorations on her own and with various instructors until she entered a teacher training program in 2004. She has been influenced by her study of various techniques from hatha traditions, and is registered with the Yoga Alliance. She also completed Level I of Psychosynthesis Training in 2006, and is currently participating in Holding the Circle, an advanced practicum exploring the conditions that create a "circle with a spiritual center".
Lisa has over thirty years of experience as a performer and educator. She began dancing professionally in her teens and received a B.A. in Integrated Arts Studies with a Dance Focus in 1973 from SUNY Binghamton. She co-founded and directed Random Moves Dance Collective in Portland, Maine in the mid 70's and toured throughout New England as an actor and workshop leader with educational theater companies during 1979-2003. Lisa was instrumental in developing the Serious Play! Intensive Theater Training and Ensemble for teenagers and young adults, based in Northampton, MA and is now a consulting choreographer for the company. Lisa has taught acting for youth through adults, consulted for school districts in Western Mass on utilizing the arts in academic curricula and has a M.Ed. from Lesley University in Creative Arts in Learning. Her most recent acting credit is the role of Amelia in an independent film, Bridge of Names.
Lisa has taught at Shelburne Falls and Green River yoga studios, and was a primary teacher for Purusha Teacher Training in Conway, MA (200 hour) during 2006-07. She lives in rural Montague, Massachusetts with her husband and two cats, offering small group classes and coaching individuals.
